Most of the sculpting I do, day-to-day, is of tabletop gaming miniatures, and, consequently it is the type of sculpture I am most comfortable with, and accomplished at. If you would like to commission me to sculpt a miniature please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can discuss the details and I can provide you with a quote. There are a few things you should be aware of first.
Size and Scale
While I am most comfortable working at 28mm or 32mm scale, I am happy to sculpt at other scales (or larger subjects). The foundry that does my casting for me has some size limitations, so if you want metal reproductions of the master figure, and the master is too large for their machines, we will have to develop an alternative arrangement for casting.
The rights to the final sculpt are negotiable. I am happy to do private commissions where I retain the rights to reproduce the miniature myself, or to do commercial commissions where some or all of the rights are transferred to the client. The exact details of this arrangement will be established as part of the initial quote, and may effect the price.
There are a number of different factors that can effect the price of a commission (such as size, detail, complexity, final materials, production rights, creative requirements etc...) and I generally prefer to discuss upfront with the client their requirements before providing a tailored quote.
For gaming miniatures it can take roughly 4 to 5 weeks to complete a master once sculpting has commenced. For clients receiving metal casts of their project they will have to wait until the next time we have a mould made* (which can vary greatly).
So, if you are interested in a commission, please contact me at email@example.com and we can discuss the details.
